Admission Criteria
Note: Matriculation and Intermediate exams indicated below include equivalent examinations
MASTERS PROGRAMS (Two years Degree Program)
Master of Computer Science (MCS)
BA/ B.Sc. Program in any of the following: Math, Physics, Computer Science, Commerce, Statistics, Economics, and Bachelors of Engineering. Candidate must have at least 45% marks in the graduation degree
Master of Information Technology (MIT)
BA/ B.Sc. Program in any of the following: Business Administration, Math, Physics, Computer Science, Commerce, Statistics, Economics, and Bachelors of Engineering. Candidate must have at least 45% marks in the graduation degree.
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 45% marks in the graduation degree.

The formula for merit calculation for admission to Masters Programs shall be:
0.2 % in Matriculation + 0.2 % in Intermediate + 0.6 % in Bachelor’s degree
BS PROGRAMS (4 Years Degree Program)
Applicants for admission to all Bachelor of Science (BS) Programs must have passed with at least 45% marks, Intermediate (Part I and II, or equivalent examination), or I.Com or ICS or DAE or ‘A’ level examinations.
The General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) ‘O’ levels and School Certificate (SC) examinations are considered equivalent to Matriculation, and the GCE ‘A’ levels is considered equivalent to the Intermediate examination. For the GCSE (‘O’) and SC examinations, grades in 6 subjects are considered. ‘A’ level candidates must have passed 3 subjects.
The formula for merit calculation for admission to BS programs shall be:

0.4 % in Matriculation + 0.6 % in Intermediate exam
Merit score for candidates who already possess a valid Bachelor’s degree:
0.2 % in Matriculation + 0.2 % in Intermediate + 0.6 % in Bachelor’s degree
In case the Virtual University conducts an admission test for the purposes of determining admission to the various programs of the University, then different admission criteria shall be followed which will announced with the test.
