It seems that all the free games on the internet are for people who want to point, aim, shoot, or watch themselves get killed. If you like a good adrenaline rush, these games can be a great break from an otherwise busy or even stressful afternoon. I certainly don’t judge them as bad or evil. The real problem is that for those of us who are not looking for an adrenaline rush, variations on Tetris have gotten just plain boring.
Fortunately, there are places to find lots of quieter, puzzle-solving and beautiful scenery games. I recommend sites such as “Jay is Games” (http://jayisgames.com) and “Escape Games 24″ (http://www.escapegames24.com/search/label/Room%20Escape%20Games).
Escape Games 24 has an entire section of room escape games, some of which are simple and quick, others quite difficult. Occasionally, a game author will even manage to dazzle with incredible graphics.
Jay is Games is a smaller site that specialized in extremely well crafted games. There are less than on the Escape Games 24 site, but the quality of each one is incredibly high.
Fellow Myst fans, don’t give up! Check out these websites for our kind of gaming fun.
