Globally, exhibitions play a great role in boosting the promotion/sales of products. Very frequent such exhibitions are held in other countries but very few such exhibitions are held in Pakistan. Public Private partnership may join hands to conduct such exhibitions globlaly to create space for Pakistani products, which will bring revenue to the Govt. exchequer.
Our imports are double than our exports consequently leads into deficit. By holding such exhibitions locally as well internationally will increase our exports. Pakistan Govt. should encourage such exhibitions and promote it locally/internationally. Immense potential is availble in our country but exploration and projection is the main issue. Govt. should gove incentives to exporters as well as to local industries who are in the process of indegenizations. Electricty tarrif should be reduced so that end product cost may also be reduced to grab the competitors. Invesment climate will bring more revenue in the country, which can be created by improving law and order situation in the country. Protection of business comunity and ease of regulations may also be added to it.
Now a days, Govt. is considering to give status of Most favoured Nation to India. I am afraid whether Govt. has worked out all pros & cons of giving this status. Is this in our country’s favour or against? is it against our Industries? If answer of all these qusetions in affirmative, then we should proceed, otherwise No. I am sure no working has been done on this issue. So please ponder upon before taking this very critical decision.
