Fall for Fairfax Festival

Army Ten-Miler

Kids Euro Festival
October 15-November 10, 2009. The new event staged through the cooperation of the 27 Washington-based European Union embassies and more than a dozen major local cultural institutions will include more than 150 free performances around the city. Geared to children ages six through twelve.
Navy Day in DC
2009 Date to be Announced, 10 a.m. Attend a celebration of the Anniversary of the U.S. Navy with Navy Band Performances, Military Drill Teams, a HUMVEE, a Coastal Warfare Boat, Ceremonial Guard, military hardware displays and special VIP guests.

Rockville Antique & Classic Car Show

Washington International Horse Show

Patuxent Wildlife Festival
October 24, 2009, 10 am–3 pm. Live animals and research displays at the USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center in Laurel, Maryland.
Marine Corps Marathon
October 25, 2009. The annual race includes a full weekend of events including the Health and Fitness Expo, Healthy Kids Fun Run, Crystal Run (a festival in Crystal City), and Marine Corps Marathon Finish Festival.
DC Drag Queen Race
October 27, 2009. thousands of spectators flock to Dupont Circle to watch costumed drag queens show off their elaborate Halloween costumes and race down 17th Street.
Fall Frolic at Glen Echo Park

Day of the Dead Festival
