First time father, Abhishek, 35, broke the news on Twitter, saying “IT’S A GIRL!!!!!! 
))))”. Abhishek later tweeted, “Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes. Both Aishwarya and the baby are doing great and taking some much needed rest.” A jubilant father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan joined in: “I AM DADA to the cutest baby girl!! A dada ji … Ecstatic !!!!”

Several celebrities visited the hospital to greet the new born and the mother. Actress Sonali Bendre with husband Goldie Behl, producer Bunty Walia, director Apoorva Lakhia and Bachchan family friend and politician Amar Singh visited the hospital today.
